Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game “Poppy Playtime”.  This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands.  To give a taste of our brand’s popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occured since the game’s launch 4 years ago.

About the Role

We are looking for a JuniorData Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across our video game portfolio. This role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data related to player behavior, game performance, and business outcomes. The Data Analyst will work closely with design, product, marketing, and leadership teams to deliver accurate insights, recurring reports, and actionable recommendations.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working deeply with data, building dashboards, and turning complex datasets into clear, trustworthy insights for stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze game, player, and business data to support development, live operations, and publishing decisions
• Create and maintain dashboards and automated reports
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and validate data from multiple sources
• Perform ad hoc analyses to answer business and game performance questions
• Support A/B tests and post-launch analysis by gathering data and summarizing results
• Partner with teams to define metrics, ensure accurate tracking, and improve data quality
• Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities in player and financial data
• Present insights clearly through reports, dashboards, and written summaries

Requirements:

• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Experience with data visualization and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications:

• 0-2 Years of Experience in an analytics role or within the video game industry or digital entertainment
• Familiarity with game telemetry, event-based data, and live service metrics
• Experience with Python, R, or spreadsheet-based modeling
• Passion for video games and player experience
