As a Healthcare Assistant (HCA), you’ll play a key role in delivering a professional, compassionate, and patient-focused experience across our mobile screening sites in the South West.

Main duties of the job

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and guide them through their screening journey with empathy and professionalism
  • Support clinical colleagues in delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, mobile environment
  • Assist with patient handovers between screening and CT scan locations
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data confidentiality
  • Help manage clinic flow, support scheduling, and respond to patient queries
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and infection control Contribute to a 7-day service, including bank holidays, with occasional remote admin work

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a patient or customer-facing role Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and patient management systems
  • A flexible, team-oriented approach with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across sites
